Using the Job Materials Form

Job Materials access points
  1. Opens the form that displays all materials for the entire job.
  2. Opens the form to add or edit materials for the selected line item.
  3. Opens the form to edit materials for only the active line. Click inside the cell to reveal the button.

To add materials for the item you are working on, select a product from the dropdown, enter the quantity, and click Add. When finished, click Save & Close to apply the materials to your estimate.

  1. Template selector
    Choose a template such as Exterior, Interior, or Prep. Selecting a template filters the available materials accordingly.
  2. Menu
    Adjust sales tax or refresh material costs to match your main materials database.
  3. Edit / Delete
    Click the blue pencil to edit a material or the red X to remove it.
  4. Material selector
    Choose products to add to the estimate.
  5. Manual Mode
    Enable this option to freely enter a custom item and cost.

In Manual Mode, enter a description and total cost, then click Add to include the item in the list.


Viewing all job materials

To view every material associated with the estimate, click the paint brush icon shown earlier. This opens a summary view of all materials used on the job.

From this view, you can edit materials, print the list, or refresh costs. Refreshing costs is especially useful when an estimate was created months earlier and material prices have changed.

Tip:
Refreshing costs updates material prices using your current materials database, helping keep older estimates accurate.
