Job Colors

Job Colors allows you to store all paint colors used for a job. This information can be extremely helpful years later when touch-ups are needed or a customer calls asking what colors were used.

Situations such as missing leftover cans, faded labels, or a change in ownership are common reasons why keeping color records is valuable.

You can also print labels for leftover paint cans that include your company name and contact information, making it easy for future homeowners to know who painted the property.

Tip:
Recording job colors consistently can save significant time and frustration when returning to a job years later.

Opening the Job Colors form

Open the estimate you want to add colors to, then click the Notes & Colors button at the top of the form. When the panel opens, select the Job Colors tab.

Printing labels for paint cans

Job Colors supports printing labels for leftover paint cans using either Avery labels or a Dymo printer.

Click here to see a list of compatible labels.

Using Avery labels

Select the Avery Labels option at the top of the form. Even though Avery labels typically contain multiple labels per sheet, the program remembers the last label used so you do not waste pages.

To configure these settings, click the Avery Setup button.

Using a Dymo printer

The following Dymo printers have been tested: 330, 400, and 450 Twin Turbo.

First, enable Dymo support by opening Program Settings, selecting User Settings, and checking I have a Dymo Printer. The program will verify that a compatible printer is detected.
