General Overhead

Your General Overhead is all your outside expenses with the exception of holiday and sick pay, workers compensation, your responsibility for employee taxes, and non-painters wages. These expenses have their own category.

Outside expenses include items such as advertising, communication expenses, website fees, office supplies, vehicle expenses, and major tools such as sprayers, ladders, and similar equipment. This page is where you set those items up.

The Overhead section consists of Categories.

Categories are things like Tools, Advertising, Vehicle Repair, Business Taxes, Utilities, and more.

Each category contains sub-items. For example, an Advertising category may include Website Fees, Business Cards, Flyers, and other paid advertising.

For each sub-item, you set the yearly budget for that expense.

To edit an existing overhead item, click the edit icon next to the sub-item.

To add a new overhead item, click the Add New Overhead Item button.

If you are unsure about your expenses, estimate as accurately as possible. You can always return later and adjust the numbers.
