Work Orders
Work Orders are typically used to give to foremen or crew members working on a job. They outline what is to be painted, the time allowed for each task, and the materials needed.
Work Orders are designed for internal use and help ensure that everyone working on the job understands expectations before work begins.

Opening the Work Order form
To open the Work Order form:
- Open the estimate for the job you are about to start
- Click the Forms button at the top of the estimate
- Select Work Orders
This opens the Work Order form.
Work Order options
- Job start and finish dates — Displays the planned start and end dates for the job. If both dates are the same, the dates will not appear on the printed work order.
- Reduce hours by — Reduces displayed hours by a percentage. This can be useful if you want to present a tighter time allowance to prevent crews from stretching tasks unnecessarily.
- Exclude customer name — Removes the customer name from the work order if desired.
- Exclude customer phone number — Removes the customer phone number from the work order.
- Exclude materials — Hides the materials list from the work order.
- Notes —
Add notes for specific areas or tasks.
This is useful for reminders such as protecting landscaping or
addressing customer concerns.
Notes entered here will also appear on the main estimate grid. Likewise, notes entered on the estimate grid will carry over to the work order automatically.
Previewing and printing work orders
When you are ready, click the Print Preview button to preview the work order.
From the preview screen, you can save the work order as a PDF or print it directly.
